He’s played in the Stanley Cup Final and lifted the Cup. But now, Jack Eichel is sharing his thoughts on the significance of the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off Final—and it’s something every hockey fan needs to hear.
Jack Eichel is no stranger to high-stakes games. He’s been in several pressure-filled matchups and led the Vegas Golden Knights to a Stanley Cup in 2023, defeating the Florida Panthers. Since entering the NHL in 2015, Eichel has become a key part of Team USA’s roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off.
He recorded an assist on Jake Guentzel’s game-tying goal against Canada in a battle that had it all. The game saw six players drop the gloves in three fights within the first nine seconds, and physicality remained a theme as Brady Tkachuk and Charlie McAvoy threw big hits on superstars like Connor McDavid.
Jack Eichel’s honest words
Team USA ultimately secured a 3-1 victory, earning their spot in the Final. Now, Eichel isn’t holding back on just how much the rematch means.
Despite his Stanley Cup experience, Eichel says this game—played in Boston—might be the biggest of his career.
“Biggest game I’ve played in in quite some time. Maybe ever,” Eichel told reporters following USA’s 2-1 loss to Sweden on Monday.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I think everyone in the room is looking forward to it. That’s what we wanted, right?”
