Carolina Hurricanes calls out Canada during 4 Nations Face-Off

Team Canada played a decisive game against Finland to secure a spot in the Final of the 4 Nations Face-Off. But before the game, they made some surprising decisions with their roster, which led to the Carolina Hurricanes calling them out on social media.

Canada opened their 4 Nations Face-Off tournament with an overtime win over Sweden. In their second game, they suffered a devastating loss to the United States, meaning they had to win their third and final group-stage game on Monday against Finland. Before the game, they made some notable lineup changes.

Canada decided to scratch Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis and Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley. Harley’s absence was understandable, as Cale Makar returned after a brief illness.

However, many were surprised by Jarvis’ sudden scratch, and the Carolina Hurricanes openly criticized Team Canada’s decision with a post on social media.

“This is stupid,” the team posted on their official X account.
When someone responded, “Biased much?” the Hurricanes hilariously replied, “It’s quite literally our job to be biased.”

Canada held a comfortable lead with just minutes remaining against Finland, but after conceding two goals while playing 6-on-5, Finland pulled within one. Still, Canada managed to hold on, setting up the highly anticipated rematch fans have been dreaming of—following an unforgettable game this past weekend that saw three fights break out in the first nine seconds.
