Team USA got off to a flying start in the 4 Nations Face-Off, dominating Finland 6-1 at Bell Centre in Montreal. Now, all eyes are on Saturday’s showdown against Canada. And Brady Tkachuk, for one, is fired up. The star forward didn’t hold back when sharing his excitement for the highly anticipated matchup.
Brady Tkachuk and his teammates couldn’t have asked for a better start to the tournament. His brother, Matthew, was named Player of the Game, but Brady wasn’t far behind—the two were everywhere on the ice, in the best way possible.
Team USA exploded for four goals in the third period to secure the win, with Brady scoring twice and Matthew adding two goals and an assist. It was the perfect start for Team USA, but the focus has already shifted to Saturday’s game against Canada.
Brady Tkachuk’s awesome words
Tensions between the countries have been rising since Donald Trump threatened tariffs, and on Thursday, Canadian fans at Bell Centre booed the American national anthem. Matthew Tkachuk made it clear he “didn’t like it,” and now, many are wondering how the off-ice friction will translate onto the ice.
After the U.S. win, Brady Tkachuk didn’t hold back when discussing the Canada matchup, emphasizing that the rivalry goes beyond just the players.
“I think it’s going to be the biggest game I’ve ever played in my career,” he said.
“So I’m really looking forward to it. And yeah, there’s a big buildup. USA versus Canada—it’s bigger than just the guys on the ice. There are so many people, past, present, and future, who are excited for it.”
