The Vancouver Canucks are a professional hockey team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1970 as an NHL expansion team, they have reached three Stanley Cup Finals but have yet to win a championship. Competing in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the NHL, they play their home games at Rogers Arena.

Vancouver Canucks History

A hockey team based in Vancouver was founded as early as 1911. From 1925 to 1970, various Vancouver-based teams competed in the WHL and other minor leagues. In 1970, the Canucks joined the NHL as an expansion team alongside the Buffalo Sabres. The Canucks reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 1982, 1994, and 2011, losing to the New York Islanders, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins, respectively.
