John Tortorella is an American ice hockey coach and former player, born in Boston on June 24, 1958. He has coached the Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Philadelphia Flyers. In 2004, he won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay.
Tortorella is well known for his fiery temperament and has had numerous confrontations with players, coaches, officials, and journalists throughout his career.
