Two F-bombs in seconds picked up in Stars-Maple Leafs game

Fans love it whenever an F-bomb is dropped during NHL games and picked up by TV microphones. During Tuesday’s game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars, fans were treated to not just one, but two hilarious profanities within seconds.

Tension runs high during NHL games, so swearing and other profanities are bound to happen. Given the physical nature of the game and frequent close battles, it’s no surprise that emotions often boil over.

Chirping is a huge part of hockey, but it’s not something fans typically hear. Occasionally, though, players’ profanities are accidentally picked up by hot mics or TV microphones—and on Tuesday, it happened twice in just two seconds.

Two hilarious F-bombs

The Dallas Stars held a 4-1 lead in the third period over the Toronto Maple Leafs as both teams battled for the puck along the boards in the Leafs’ zone. David Kämpf delivered a small cross-check on the Dallas Stars’ Oskar Bäck, who stayed on his feet but took offense to Kämpf’s actions. The TV microphone caught Bäck shouting, “F—k you!” at his opponent. Just moments later, Kämpf fired back with, “No, f—k you!”

The Stars’ broadcasting team couldn’t contain their laughter in the commentary booth. Meanwhile, everyone on social media laughed as the video of the two F-bombs quickly went viral.

”This is art,” one said.

”TV mics picking up players saying ’f—k’ will never get old,” another said.

”The beautiful game,” a third added.
