In 17 GP this season, Pearson has racked up 1 assist and 8 PIM. He was a 1st round draft pick (30th overall) in the 2012 NHL entry draft. In his last 26 regular season games, Pearson has 0 goals and 5 assists.

EDIT:

Carl Hagelin is the name mentioned being swapped for Pearson. According to Bob McKenzie, the deal is one-for-one.

Hagelin has picked up 3 points in 16 GP this season with the Penguins. Hagelin was selected in the 6th round (168th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He is a 2x Cup winner. This will be Hagelin’s fourth team, after spending seasons with New York Rangers and the Anaheim Ducks.
