It took less than five seconds to see the first fight of the game between the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues.
Officially three-seconds into the game after the opening puck drop, Brayden Schenn and Gabriel Landeskog dropped the gloves and set the tone for the remainder of the contest.
It was a glimpse into old-time hockey, as fists were flying and at one point, Schenn’s jersey became loose and came off during the scrum.
Cameras caught Schenn and Landeskog jawing at one another before the puck was dropped. Seconds later, the gloves were off.
Both players aren’t necessarily known for throwing punches but have been in their fair share of respective bouts dating back to junior hockey.
St. Louis would go on to decimate the Avalanche, dropping Colorado 6-1.
