Usually, when the Tkachuk brothers, Matthew and Brady, play against each other, they do so with a lot of intensity and emotion. Both are warriors on the ice, known for having a hot temper, and they both absolutely hate losing.
The battles of the Tkachuk have been called ’The Tkachuk Bowl,’ and it’s been hilarious scenes over the years when their relatives have been on the stands, watching the two brothers fighting, chirping, and battling.
But ahead of Thursday’s game between the Panthers and the Senators, it was more of an adorable family moment for the Tkachuk’s, as they had some family matters to take care of before puck drop.

On Sep. 16, Brady Tkachuk became a father for the first time, as the Ottawa Senators captain and his wife Emma welcomed baby Ryder to the world.
Ahead of Thursday’s game between two great NHL teams, the brothers decided to pause warmups completely, to take a family picture with father Brady, baby Ryder, and uncle Matthew. The video of the brothers posing for a picture with the soon-month-old baby went viral, with everyone finding it absolutely adorable.

Brady Tkachuk finished the night with zero goals and one assist as the Senators won the game 3-1. Matthew Tkachuk also had an assist to the Panthers’ only goal in the game, and before and during the contest, a “Brady’s Better” chant broke out in the crowd.
Just imagine that in about 18 years, we might have another Tkachuk playing in the NHL! What a moment for the brothers Brady and Matthew, two of the top stars in the NHL, and for the whole Tkachuk family.
