The Kraken publicly blasts Martin Pospisil after ‘garbage’ hit on Vince Dunn; fans are all saying the same thing about it

Martin Pospisil isn’t the most popular guy in the NHL at the moment. Pospisil may have to answer to the NHL’s disciplinary committee after a very questionable hit on Vince Dunn in the Flames’ match vs. the Seattle Kraken that had fans and the Kraken absolutely livid.

Kraken’s Vince Dunn had the puck behind his own net as he was sent headfirst into the boards.

The hit from the Calgary Flames’ rookie Martin Pospisil was from behind, and there was no denying that he saw Dunn’s number all the way.

Dunn didn’t make any sudden move that made the collision worse, and Pospisil immediately earned a trip to the box for a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct. And it wasn’t Pospisil’s first reckless hit of the game.

Just a few seconds into the game, Pospisil ran Adam Larsson into the boards to kick the game off. In the second period, Tye Kartye wanted Pospisil to answer the bell by dropping the gloves.

But he didn’t drop them. And in the third period, he delivered the nasty hit on Vince Dunn, making fans even more furious.

Postgame, Kraken’s head coach Dave Hakstol sounded off about the hits and the fact that Pospisil didn’t answer to Tye Kartye.

“Garbage,” the Kraken head coach said. “Not really a whole lot different than the first hit six or seven seconds into the game. You run around like that, you probably need to answer when somebody comes to you man-to-man and that didn’t happen, either, so from there I’ll leave it to the league.

“I thought both hits were just about as bad as you get.”

On social media, Pospisil was absolutely slammed for the hit on Dunn.

”Dude should be suspended for both hits. Here’s his other questionable boarding and/or check from behind. ”Less bad” than the one he got ejected for, but damn, this is a pattern,” one said.

”Should be major suspension material. I’m just mad that he’s playing dirty and is too much of a coward to drop the gloves,” another said.

”That’s ugly. Completely stationary too so can’t even give Pospisil the benefit of the doubt that he miscalculated,” a third said.

”Dunn is facing the boards the whole time. Nowhere close to a hockey play. Ideally, this would be an in person hearing. Zero place in the game for this,” a fourth added.
