Patrick Marleau isn’t known for his fighting, but his son might be.
During the Leafs practice Sunday morning, one of Marleau’s sons joined Toronto on the ice for a twirl around the rink.
It seemed all fine and dandy until his son turned on the jets and moved up ice, clearly a child with a mission. He skated and hunted down Jake Gardiner, giving him some taps on the shins and stick, letting Jake know he was ready to rumble.
Seconds before the chase was on, you could see Jake take a shot right behind Marleau’s son. Maybe the puck clipped him and he was standing up for himself.
Either way, it must be the coolest thing in the world to not only have your dad play in the NHL but have the opportunity to skate with these professional players.
