Nicklas Lidstrom reveals the 5 greatest players he’s ever played with

Nicklas Lidstrom is considered one of the best defensemen ever to play the game of hockey. The Hockey Bible asked him to pick out the five best players he ever played with – where Sergei Fedorov didn’t make the roster.

After 20 seasons in the NHL, Nicklas Lidstrom decided to retire from the game of hockey in 2012. The Swedish defenseman, a seven-time Norris Trophy winner, got to play with plenty of legendary players throughout his career as a Red Wing. Speaking to the Hockey Bible, Lidstrom now have picked the five best players he ever played together with.

“Great playing with him”

While choosing his best starting lineup, Lidstrom considered his options for a while. However, in the end, he managed to pick a lineup that would frighten most NHL-players today. Despite choosing not to include players like Pavel Datsuyk, Henrik Zetterberg and Luc Robitaille, the Swede managed to form a pretty impressive lineup.
“It’s very hard. I’ve played with so many fantastic players. If I start with the goalie I have to say Hasek. He’s the one that stands out the most and it was great playing with him,” Lidstrom says.
