Sharks’ Stefan Noesen isn’t having Milan Lucic.
In back-to-back games, the Calgary forward put in questionable hits on rookie defenseman Mario Ferraro.
It started with the game on Feb. 4, where Lucic laid a hit from behind on Ferraro.
The same thing, this time at SAP Center, happened Monday night with Lucic managing to avoid a penalty after hitting Ferraro from behind into the glass behind the Sharks net.
After the hit Monday night, Stefan Noesen had seen enough and went after Lucic looking for a fight. They both dropped their gloves only for officials to separate them shortly afterwards.
Noesen ended up with two extra minutes for the altercation.
After the game, Noesen slammed Lucic for taking the hits. In his opinion, Lucic should’ve gotten penalized in both situations.
“That’s back-to-back games he has had the exact same hit,” Noesen said according to Bay Area News. “Same player, same everything. Something’s gotta change. You can’t … you can’t let that guy do that every single time. Luckily, Mario didn’t get hurt this time. Last time, he had a bloody eye.
During the game last Tuesday, Lucic also threw a big hit on Evander Kane and ended up fighting Barclay Goodrow.
Noesen continued:
If he (Ferraro) goes down and he’s laying on the ice, it’s probably going to be a suspension. But the fact that he got up right away, they’re not going to call anything like that. To me, that’s bullsh*t”, he said.
