Milan Lucic is known for being one of the toughest guys in the NHL. He always puts his body on the line and never backs down from a huge hit. When he sees an opportunity to hammer someone, he always takes it.
He’s taken on the role of being the Flames’ enforcer, and he does a great job in doing so. The Flames fans and organization love him, and last night, against the Seattle Kraken, he showed why.
During one shift, Milan Lucic first slammed Carson Soucy to the boards with a great body check. He laid a massive hit on Jordan Eberle seconds later, taking him down to the ice. Lucic kept his balance, stayed up, and continued his hunt for Kraken players.

Just seconds after taking down Jordan Eberle, he bodied Matty Beniers with yet another great hit. In just 14 seconds, Lucic laid three great hits, showing why the Flames are discussing signing him to a contract extension.
The forward’s seven-year contract is set to expire at the season’s end, but sources now say that the Flames don’t want him to hit the open market.
“According to a team source, TFP has learned the Flames have been internally discussing and evaluating a contract extension for veteran forward Milan Lucic,” Anthony Di Marco of The Fourth Period wrote Monday.
The Flames lost the game 5-4 after three unanswered goals in the third period by the Kraken. Milan Lucic has started this season with three assists in eight games.
