Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Over his many years in the NHL, Marc-Andre Fleury has made himself known as one of the best prankers in the League.
There are so many great stories about hilarious things Fleury did to make life a little more uncomfortable for Sidney Crosby and his other superstar teammates in the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Fleury has carried that with him throughout his career, and it hasn’t stopped since he joined the Minnesota Wild.
But Fleury, being the notorious prankster he is, has also made him vulnerable to counterattacks.
Last week, Colorado Avalanche’s Brandon Duhaime, a former teammate of Fleury, pranked the legendary goalie by TPing his car.
When the two played with each other on the Wild, they had an ongoing and infamous prank war, and Duhaime wasn’t going to let it stop just by changing teams.
On Monday, the Wild were back in Colorado, and everyone expected Fleury to get back at Duhaime for what he had done to Fleury’s car.
And they were right. Not only did Fleury respond with an epic prank, but it just so happened to be a bigger prank than Duhaime had pulled off.
Fleury’s prank couldn’t have been more fitting as well. When Duhaime got back to his car, he was met by flowers and dirt all over it. But it would turn out to be the tip of the iceberg. Fleury had removed Duhaime’s wheels and placed a for-sale sign on it. As a result, Duhaime couldn’t even drive it out of there.
A valuable lesson for everyone: Don’t mess with Marc-Andre Fleury.
