When the Vegas Golden Knights and Pittsburgh Penguins collide tonight, it’ll be a contest much anticipated by Penguins fans. Marc Andre Fleury spent 12-seasons in Pittsburgh before being picked up by Vegas in the expansion draft. With no hard feelings and an understanding that it’s just business, Fleury will return to PPG Paints Arena in what should be an emotional contest.
Fleury helped the club capture three Stanley Cups and became a fan favorite over the course of his career. It was time to move on, but Penguins’ fans still hold Fleury close to their hearts.
Ahead of their game tonight, former teammate and Penguins Sniper Phil Kessel tried to get in the head of Fleury before puck drop.
When passing in the hallway, the two exchanged some words in jest, and Kessel informed Fleury he’d be trying his best to pot one against his friend.
Fleury and Kessel pass each other in the arena hallway.
Fleury: “No rockets top shelf tonight.”
Kessel: “I gotta get at least one.”

Both players have been holding their own for their respective clubs this season. Fleury has been the face of the franchise ever since his selection, and Kessel is on pace to set a new career high in points.
