Kesler gets heckled by Nolan Patrick after Flyers game winner

Ryan Kesler isn’t exactly the most beloved player in the NHL.

Kesler is one of those players you’d love to have on your team but hate to play against. He is talented and not afraid to get into the dirty areas, but I think it’s safe to say he is one of the villains of the NHL.

Last night against the Philadelphia Flyers, Nolan Patrick got the last laugh on Kesler.

It hasn’t been an easy stretch of games for Anaheim. They are riding a six-game losing skid and have left John Gibson out to dry on most nights.

Tied late in the third period, Anaheim were on their way to at least capturing a point. Until karma hit Anaheim.

Off a faceoff at center-ice, Kesler gave Patrick a whack with his stick. It’s a typical Kesler play as he attempted to get under the skin of Patrick.

Seconds later, Patrick found the puck in the slot and beat netminder Ryan Miller. With a smile and being celebrated by teammates, Patrick gave a look towards Kesler but Kesler kept on skating.

It was a case of instant karma as it turned out to be the game-winner. Even though Patrick scored after Kesler attempted to annoy him, I have a feeling Kesler won’t stop being a pest anytime soon.
