You must have serious cojones to drop the gloves with Zdeno Chara. One player who did was Josh Anderson and he didn’t hesitate.
Chara is an absolute monster. Standing in at 6’9” Zdeno Chara is the tallest player in the NHL. He is one of the easiest men in the sport to locate when on the ice due to his sheer size.
The Slovakian veteran has recorded multiple fights over the course of his NHL career, and he added another Monday night.
One big of a challenge
His opponent? 6’1” forward Josh Anderson from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Anderson has only been in the NHL for three seasons, but he is clearly not afraid to take on the big dogs of the NHL.
Anderson held his own against the towering Chara, but it looked like Anderson’s biggest weakness was his reach against his opponent. Anderson almost knocked the giant off his feet but Chara proved to be too big of a challenge for Anderson.
Stick-taps went all around and rightfully so. It was a great tilt and Anderson showed some promise taking on Chara.
