Jaromir Jagr’s hilarious quirk while at restaurants revealed

Jaromir Jagr is truly one of a kind. This will be his last season as a professional hockey player, 34 years after making his debut in the NHL. At that point, Jaromir Jagr was the youngest player at 18.

When he left the NHL 25 years later, he was the oldest player in the league. He’s also the oldest player in league history to record a hat-trick, and he’s widely acknowledged as one of the best players to ever play the game.

Jaromir Jagr is ranked second in NHL points in history, and during his incredible NHL career, he won two Stanley Cups and five Art Ross Trophies.

But it’s not just how Jagr has performed that’s made him the absolute legend he is. Jagr is also quite the character off the ice, known for his weird pre-game routines, his never-ending practice sessions, his strange sleep patterns—and now, apparently, his eating habits.

While playing in the NHL, Jagr regularly used to cut potatoes and put slices on his knees to reduce inflammation.

Marek Hrivik, a former NHL player for the New York Rangers and the Calgary Flames who now plays in the Swedish top tier, once revealed that Jagr also brings his own special plates every time he’s out eating—for the most hilarious reason.

“We went out for dinner. He brought a special steel plate to put under his food, said it sucks out bad energy and he got it from a Russian nuclear physicist,” Hrivik said.

“He tried to convince me it works. After six steaks, I agreed so we could go home.”

Jaromir Jagr—what a legend!
