Fans all say the same thing after another elbow from Matt Rempe

Matt Rempe is at it again. He delivered yet another controversial and questionable high hit, and fans are all saying the same thing about the Rangers tough guy’s latest incident.

Rempe has had a strong season with the New York Rangers, becoming more involved in offensive plays. But when it comes to physicality, fighting, and big hits, he’s still very much himself.

He has already served a lengthy suspension this season, and now he may be facing another one after a dangerous play in the Rangers’ game against the Predators on Sunday.

Just over four minutes into the first period, Rempe elbowed Predators defenseman Nick Blankenburg in the head while delivering a big hit along the boards.

Matt Rempe slammed by fans

The collision sent Blankenburg’s head bouncing off the glass, and his teammate Andreas Englund wasted no time racing over to Rempe to drop the gloves in retaliation. Despite the height difference, Englund held his own in the fight, which left both players with bloodied noses.

Rempe escaped with just a two-minute minor for the elbow and a five-minute major for fighting. But on social media, fans were outraged, and it seems they are growing tired of his repeated high hits.
Just give Matt Rempe a double-digit suspension at this point… dumbest player in the entire NHL. Elbow right to the head,” one user said on X.
“Why is this guy in the league?” another asked.
“How many times does this need to happen before he gets banned?” a third added.
