David Rittich got the chance between the pipe in Thursday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. He covered for injured Juuse Saros, and against a team like the Avalanche, it isn’t the easiest game to be thrown into.

But Rittich played a good game and won his first game since March 13. Rittich grew all game, and after regulation and overtime, the game was tied 4-4. But then, Rittich made all three saves in the shootout to get that W.
But Rittich still made fans laugh their ass off in a sequence that might be the funniest all season.
Early in the third, Rittich went off his goalline to save a puck, and when returning to his net, he watched the puck in the corner of the boards and didn’t see where he was going. As a result, Rittich slammed into the crossbar and fell on his back, and at the same time, the goal moved from its position.

Play stopped, and Rittich could be seen smiling behind the mask. Sometimes, hockey is just too fun, and the sequence will, without a doubt, be a part of the next episode of the NHLs ”Weird NHL” on Youtube.
