Jamie Benn is often at the delivering end when talking about big hits, but last night, roles were reversed as he flew right into his opponent’s bench.
In the Dallas Stars game against the Edmonton Oilers, Benn went straight up against Darnell Nurse, who’s not exactly a small guy. Jamie Benn is tall and robust and not exactly easy to push over, making Nurse’s hit even more impressive.
Benn had his head down to the ice and had no idea a train like Nurse was coming straight at him. Nurse didn’t stop for a second and simply plowed Benn over to the Oilers bench and right into Connor McDavid’s lap. It’s not often you see a guy getting pushed into the bench, but it’s as amusing every time.
