Anything can happen during a hockey game, and with microphones placed just about everywhere, it’s not uncommon for players’ hilarious conversations or comments to be caught on TV. But on Monday, during the Avalanche’s game against the Flames, it was a fan’s reaction that stole the show.
The game went into overtime and eventually a shootout, and for one fan, the drama seemed almost unbearable. As the TV broadcast panned to the Flames’ bench, a hot mic suddenly picked up a fan in absolute agony. He let out a desperate scream for no apparent reason, followed by a loud, “OMG.”

The clip quickly went viral on social media, with fans everywhere finding it hilarious.
