Cameras caught Brad Marchand swearing after Ottawa goal

It was an important game between the Boston Bruins and the Ottawa Senators this weekend. Both teams entered the 2024-25 seasons with high expectations, but they’ve both underperformed so far.

The Boston Bruins have especially had trouble scoring goals and creating chances, and that was the theme in Saturday’s game as well.

They came into the third period with a 2-2 tie but weren’t able to have a single shot on net through the last 20 minutes of the game.

Tough game for Brad Marchand

Just an example of how weak the Bruins were offensively in the game: The Boston Bruins had 16 shots on goal, while Brady Tkachuk alone had 12 (!).

Although the Bruins didn’t manage a shot in the entire third period, the game went into overtime, where Brady Tkachuk decided the game, with a great shot that beat Jeremy Swayman in net. And Brad Marchand wasn’t happy about it.

Cameras immediately panned over to Marchand, who appeared to drop an F-bomb in pure frustration over the OT loss.

What Marchand said after Tkachuk goal

Although it’s not been confirmed by any means just what Marchand said about Tkachuk’s game-winning goal, accounts on social media seemed certain he said, ’F—king twat’ about Tkachuk.

It’s not unusual for social media accounts to become lip-reading experts after viral clips make the rounds on social media, but in this case, it seemed like a certainty that Marchand indeed dropped an F-bomb, and for good reasons as well. With 16 games played of the season, the Bruins hold a 7-7-2 record and only a .500 win rate.
