Buffalo Sabres’ social media admin’s response now goes viral

Things can’t get much worse for the Buffalo Sabres. They suffered their 11th (!) straight loss on Tuesday in a dominant performance by the Montreal Canadiens. Afterward, one of their social media admins made everyone laugh with a simple, two-word comment.

Things are going from bad to worse for the Buffalo Sabres. They haven’t made the playoffs in the NHL since the 2010-11 season, setting the all-time record for the longest postseason drought. And it’s looking increasingly likely that they’ll miss it again this season.

The Sabres entered Tuesday’s away game in Montreal with ten straight winless games. They’ve managed to take points in some of those, but they haven’t won since beating the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 24.

Buffalo Sabres’ 11th straight loss

Last night, the Montreal Canadiens made things even worse for the Sabres. Buffalo recorded its first shot 10:05 into the game, and by that point, the Canadiens were already up by two goals. The Sabres eventually lost 6-1 and are now ranked last in the Atlantic Division. Even their social media admin seems fed up with the losses.

The Sabres’ official account on X posted a picture with the score after last night’s loss, and someone responded, ”Admin, are you doing okay?”

One of the admins of the account actually replied with just two words that immediately went viral:

”been better,” the person wrote.

On social media, fans obviously felt bad for the admin but also thought the response was perfect.

”Lower case hit hard here,” one said.

”Have they been better though?” another replied.

”This team, man,” a third added.
