Brady Tkachuk is a warrior. He scored the game-winner for the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, and during the post-game TV interview, he said something hilarious.
Every time Brady Tkachuk steps onto the ice, you know he’ll give it his absolute everything. He’s the captain of the Senators for a reason, and few players in the league hate losing as much as he does.
The Senators have really started to pick up pace over the last couple of weeks, and they snagged another W on Thursday against the Calgary Flames.
Brady Tkachuk scored again
Tkachuk scored the game-winner in overtime after the Flames failed to convert a two-on-one in the Senators’ zone. Goalie Linus Ullmark saw an opportunity for a breakaway and fired the loose puck up to Tim Stutzle, creating a two-on-one for Ottawa.
The German forward forced Dan Vladar into a great save, but Brady Tkachuk was there to knock in the rebound and win the game.
Tkachuk’s goal was even more impressive given what happened to him earlier in the game. He went straight to the locker room for face repairs halfway through the second period after Mikael Backlund caught him with a high stick.
Tkachuk’s hilarious words
Brady Tkachuk returned to the game with some stitches in his face, and during the post-game TV interview, he saw his face for the first time on the screen. Looking shocked, he made a hilarious comment about it:
”Oh jeez, got a face for radio right there,” he said.
Tkachuk added that Friday would be tough, given how his face felt.
”I don’t feel too good right now, but tomorrow will be even tougher. Nine stitches, a tooth gone,” he said.
