The Boston Bruins have had a couple of rough days. On Friday, the team signed Mitchell Miller, which sparked a huge backlash from fans. The defenseman has a controversial past, as he and a classmate were convicted of assaulting and bullying a deli-mentally disabled classmate.
The 20-year-old was a fourth-round selection of the Arizona Coyotes in 2020. But a month after he was drafted, the Coyotes relinquished his draft rights after media reports on his past.
However, after receiving huge criticism from fans, the Boston Bruins changed course and decided to part ways with Miller.
It was time for the Bruins to lay it all behind them and play some hockey again on Monday. In the game against the St. Louis Blues at TD Garden, the B’s debuted their 2022-23 NHL Reverse Retro jerseys. The Bruins rocked a white” Pooh Bear” jersey, and Brad Marchand is a huge fan.
During the matchup, Marchand got the opportunity to share his thoughts on the jersey, and he couldn’t help to roast his teammates.
“They look unbelievable,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of twos on our team and they’re looking like 10s tonight.”
The jersey is a homage to their third gold jersey that debuted in 1995.
The Boston Bruins won the matchup against the Blues. The 3-1 victory means they’re off to a great start to the campaign with an 11-2-0 record.
What are your thoughts on the jersey?
