The Anaheim Ducks and New Jersey Devils negotiated a blockbuster trade they may not be able to top this season.
As we know, Adam Henrique and Joseph Blandisi were dealt to Anaheim in exchange for Sami Vatanen. New Jersey needed help defensively, and the Ducks were heavily injured on the front-end, so this seemed like a good deal.
Last night was the first time these teams met since the trade and it was one to remember.

Already leading 2-1, Adam Henrique picked up the puck in the Ducks’ defensive end before turning on the jets. Henrique flipped the puck over the defenseman, tracked it down and placed the beautiful backhand in the back of the net. One of the nicest goals we will see all year, there was salt in the wound as Henrique absolutely undressed none other than Sami Vatanen.
New Jersey would get the last laugh, however, as the Devils’ would climb back to steal a game from Anaheim, 5-3.
