The blue paint, known as the crease, is the home of the goaltender. If you try and enter the blue paint the opposing netminder may not appreciate that, and take matters into their own hands.
That’s what happened when Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins caught Cory Conacher overstaying his welcome in the goalie’s paint.
Conacher and a Bruins player were inside the crease when Rask decided he had enough and began pounding on the Tampa Bay Lightning forward. Rask had no shame getting up in Conacher’s grill, and a scrum broke out.

Andrei Vasilevskiy tried to skate down and join the circus but was held back by a referee. Emotions are high as both Boston and Tampa Bay are trying to be the number one seed in the Atlantic Division.
