The pandemic forced EA Sports to push the release of the new NHL 21 game.
Yesterday, the company finally left hockey fans excited with releasing the first trailer of the new game.
Before the trailer is released, a lot of time is spent discussing and guessing who’s going to be the cover star. It’s an honor for many players, since they probably have played the game when being young, and still to this day, as well.
Last year, Maple Leaf star Auston Matthews was featured. But this time EA Sports went old school.
For the second time, Alexander Ovechkin will be featured as the cover star of NHL 21. The Russian forward was also on the cover for the 2007 edition.
Many praised the choice of “Ovi” being on the cover. However, at the same time, plenty of fans considered it to be nothing but wrong.
