There are always things happening around Brad Marchand. On the ice, he’s one of the most controversial players.
He’s a huge fan favorite in Boston, but other teams around the league don’t love him, which makes him one of the most polarized players in the NHL.
Marchand has earned a reputation for being a rat on the ice, someone who always does just about everything to get under the skin of his opponents. Marchand has always said that his purpose in hockey isn’t to be loved by everyone and everywhere. And that really seems to go off the ice and on social media, as well.
It’s not unusual for Marchand to go on Twitter and rant about something he’s not liking.
Just earlier this week, he was unhappy with the officiating in a game between the Kings and the Ducks, and now, he’s gone on yet another roasting spree.
Marchand started by responding to a rumor post about the NHL All-Star Game being set to occur in either Seattle, Detroit, or Edmonton. Marchand clearly isn’t a fan, as he responded with, ‘Lol can’t wait to see how many guys boycott that game.’
Marchand received backlash immediately, with Oilers fans slamming him for his words about Edmonton. One said that Marchand won’t get selected for the All-Star Game anyway. Marchy then gave a perfect response.
”I hope not if it’s in one of those places lol,” he wrote.
One Edmonton fan responded by calling Marchand an ”f-cking diva,” but Marchy kept roasting Edmonton.
”Let’s put it this way.. no ones taking less to stay there,” he said.
