To be a good trash talker is an art form only a handful of players can master. Matt Martin is one of them who definitely knows the art, and in this clip he shuts down his opponent the funniest way possible.
Matt Martin isn’t famous for his great production of points in the NHL. During his five seasons in the league the hard-working forward often times causes a lot of trouble for the opponents with his tough style of play, averaging over 100 minutes in the penalty box per season. But speaking about trash talk he sure is something special.
Hilarious comeback
Before playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Martin were a part of the New York Islanders for four seasons. It was during that time he got caught, while wearing a microphone during a game against the Detroit Red Wings, talking with Drew Miller. And the conversation is already considered an epic moment in the history of NHL-trash talking.
