Jason Robertson is having an incredible season and has quickly become one of the NHL’s most popular players. He got his big breakthrough two years ago when he, as a rookie, scored 45 points in 51 games. Last season, he continued to improve and scored 41 goals and 79 points in 74 games. But nothing of that compares to the campaign he’s having right now.
He’s been one of the standout players in the entire league, and many rank him as a top-five player in the world at the moment. He’s already scored 29 goals and is on pace for 54.
He’s also recorded 31 helpers in just 44 games, and at the moment, he’s on pace for 112 points during this regular season. Dallas is only behind the Winnipeg Jets in the Western Division, and we’ll likely see Robertson in the playoffs later in the spring.
But Jason Robertson isn’t just a great player on the ice. One reason for his enormous popularity is how wholesome he is off the ice. He’s just a great role model, and he proved it this weekend. Taylor Baird, Dallas writer for NHL.com, posted an incredible photograph of Robertson this weekend.
During a Stars practice, a youth team from Vancouver had shown up, and they were big Robertson fans. According to Baird, the young kids sang chants about Robertson during a shooting drill, and the players responded by tapping their sticks.
After practice, Jason Robertson stopped to say hello to the youth team, and he also signed pucks and gave away sticks to the young kid.
The photo of Robertson and the kids has been well-liked on social media, and we can all agree that Jason Robertson is a good guy.
