The Boston Bruins are flying right now, and with a 17-2-0 record, they lead the NHL. On Monday, Boston defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, 5-3, and they had many reasons to celebrate. Not only did the Bruins match the second-best start in franchise and NHL history, with 17 wins in the first 19 games, but Patrice Bergeron also recorded his 1,000 career point.
As Patrice Bergeron got the anniversary point, with an assist to Brad Marchand, who scored Boston’s fourth of the game to make it 4-1, he was celebrated wildly on the ice. The Bruins players emptied the bench, and all joined in to gratulate him, and even the Tampa Bay Lightning fans were happy for him. The fans joined in on a ”Bergy” chant for Boston’s captain in a great and special moment for the Bruins captain.

It was an act of sportsmanship to salute a great player, but not everyone got such a heartfelt welcome to Amalie Arena.
When David Pastrnak scored a goal early in the third period to put Bruins up, 5-1, Lightning fans were getting frustrated, and as Pastrnak scored, he was greeted by one Tampa Bay fan who flipped his finger.
Pastrnak didn’t seem to care too much about the fan holding up his finger, and he just stared him down.
After the win, Pastrnak was asked about the incident, and he gave a hilarious response.
“You could see that? That was pretty funny,” Pastrnak said, per Joe Haggerty of Boston Hockey Now. “You could tell he felt bad about it because he pulled it right back down pretty quick.”
