Jaromir Jagr is now 50 years of age but hasn’t stopped playing hockey. He’s still active in his native country Czech Republic, where we play in the highest tier for the club Kladno, for which he’s also the owner.
But recently, Jagr’s career could have ended, as he was involved in a severe accident with his car. On Instagram, Jagr takes full responsibility for the incident, in which he had a collision with a tram.
”There was a lot of traffic and I didn’t have time to react to the tram, coming in high speed against me,” said Jagr.
Jagr saw the light rail coming at him when it was just half a yard away.
”I thought it was the end for me. Thank God that everything went well.”
Jagr is also thankful that nobody on the light rail got injured.
”The most important thing is that no passenger got injured. Now, I want to leave this horrific incident behind me. I thank everyone for their understanding and to those who helped on the scene.”
Jaromir Jagr played 1733 games in the NHL and scored 1921 points. He won the Stanley Cup twice, both with Pittsburgh Penguins, in 1990 and 1991.
