Jarome Iginla was selected 11th overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He was chosen by Dallas Stars but got traded before his debut. What a mistake that was from the Stars.
Iginla scored 50 points in his debut season, and in the 2001-02 season, he led the league in goals and points. He was named MVP the same year, and his records will live on for a long time.
He is the Flames’ all-time leader in goals, points, and games. He’s a six-time NHL All-Star, and he’s in the top 20 for most scored goals in league history. Iginla was also praised for his community work, and at the Flames, he donated a significant amount of money to children’s hospital. His number 12 is retired by the Flames, and you also have to mention he’s got two Olympic golds.
