The Colorado Avalanche is doing one heck of a season and is currently first in the Central Division, and it’s not even close. They’re 16 – yes, 16! – points ahead, and according to experts, the Avalanche is, along with the Florida Panthers, favorites for the cup this season.
The Avalanche has great depth, but their stunning offense often gets all the headlines. With 284 goals scored this season, only the Panthers have scored more, and the players know that the goals will come when they play. Just ask Josh Manson.
The Avalanche defenseman is hilarious, and in last night’s game against the LA Kings, he was mic’d up, and he didn’t disappoint.
Avalanche won the game, 9-3. When Josh Manson was sitting on the bench with just a minute to go of the game, he turned to one of his buddies. He suddenly remembered that Anaheim Ducks this season had a promotion running, where if the Ducks scored five goals at home, everyone in the crowd would receive a free Chick-fil-A. He then said:
” If they were fans of Colorado this year, they were getting a loooot of chicken.”
Well, he’s not wrong.
