Matthew Tkachuk can definitely do more than just annoy his opponents. Last night, the forward scored one of the more nastier goals of the season with a shot between the legs in the 6-2 win against the Sharks.
After a rough start of February, the Flames have stepped up. Coming of a 6-2 win against the Canucks last weekend, the team once again made it six at the scoreboard defeating the San Jose Sharks in California last night.
In the beginning of the third period, leading by three, the crowd at SAP Center got to see one of the more ridiculous goals of the year.
Matthew Tkachuk got the puck at the goal line, having the opportunity to put a cross ice dish to Sean Monahan. However, he decided to make a pretty filthy move.
The 22 year old played the puck between his legs and ending with scoring bar-down, beating Aaron Dell for his 19th goal of the season
“I didn’t even think about it at the time, it’s just what happened. It was the only way I thought I could score,” Tkachuk said after the game.
It was the second time this season Tkachuk scored a goal between his legs.
“I don’t think I’ve ever even tried to go between my legs, but he’s done it time and time again. And not only was it between-the-legs, it was heavy, bar-down”, Milan Lucic said.
Not only were people in the stands or teammates impressed with the nasty goal. The internet went nuts as well.
