It may still be the pre-season, but Elias Pettersson is in full-form after serving up some sweet sauce in the Vancouver Canucks’ contest against the Los Angeles Kings.
With time ticking down in the first period, the Canucks were pressing on the Power Play. Pettersson entered the zone but was pressured by defender Jake Muzzin.
It seemed as if Pettersson would be contained by Muzzin, but a sweet pass through the legs was enough to evade Muzzin. Pettersson dished the puck between his own legs right on the stick of Sven Baertschi.
Baertschi then fed the puck to Bo Horvat in the slot and he made no mistake finding the back of the net.
Fair warning.
Don't blink when @_EPettersson has the puck. ? https://t.co/XeXoXzg454

It was a beautiful way to cap off the period and Power-Play. Pettersson lost time and space but was still able to create magic.
I do believe this won’t be the last time we will see Pettersson with an unreal pass. He recorded 32 assists in 44 games played last season with Växjö Lakers HC of the Swedish Hockey League.
