Marc-Andre Fleury pulls hilarious prank in rookie’s first day

It’s a well-known fact that Marc-Andre Fleury is the GOAT of pranking. But this might be a new low—even for him. Rookie Zeev Buium just revealed the hilarious off-ice antics Fleury pulled on his very first day with the Minnesota Wild.

Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the greatest goalies of the modern NHL era, and he’ll be deeply missed when he retires at the end of the season. While he’s always been celebrated for his incredible goaltending, Fleury is just as legendary for his off-ice antics.

He’s one of the greatest pranksters in NHL history—just ask Sidney Crosby and the rest of his former Pittsburgh Penguins teammates. And even with retirement looming, Fleury isn’t slowing down one bit. He clearly doesn’t care who’s on the receiving end of his pranks.

Marc-Andre Fleury’s hilarious prank

Zeev Buium, drafted 12th overall by the Minnesota Wild, signed his entry-level contract last week. And it didn’t take long for him to get the full Marc-Andre Fleury experience. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Buium shared how Fleury pranked him on day one.
“I was sitting in the theatre and they told me to sit somewhere—they pointed at the seat, and I sat there,” Buium said. “Then [Fleury] walked up and said, ‘That’s my seat.’ But it wasn’t actually.”

The comment drew laughs from the reporters around him—and Fleury wasn’t done. Moments later, he casually walked by and tossed a towel over Buium’s face, getting even more laughs. Buium couldn’t help but crack up himself.
