The legendary Jaromir Jagr is still playing professional hockey, and recently, he was involved in an incident that cost him several teeth. Now, he’s revealed the hilarious reason why, despite his enormous career earnings, he refuses to get them fixed.
Jaromir Jagr is one of the NHL’s all-time greats. At 52 years old, he hasn’t hung up his skates just yet. Jagr currently plays for the Kladno Knights, a Czech club that he also owns.
During a game at the end of 2024, he lost four teeth but, being the warrior he is, returned to the ice to pick up an assist in just 15 minutes of play.

Jagr has earned millions throughout his legendary career. As one of the NHL’s highest-paid players for years, he could easily afford to get his teeth fixed. Yet weeks after the incident, he hasn’t. According to Jagr, there’s a funny reason why.
“We were winning, so it happened two weeks ago… we were on a winning streak, so I’m kind of superstitious,” said Jagr.
The interview, posted by SportsNet Pittsburgh on X, was conducted just after Jagr’s team suffered their first loss since the incident.
“Last night we lost, so I might do it tomorrow,” Jagr added.
