It’s a special week for Marc-Andre Fleury. The legendary goalie—who is sure to enter the Hall of Fame in a few years—spent the first 13 seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Alongside Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang, he was a cornerstone of the team that won the Stanley Cup in 2009, 2016, and 2017.
Fleury still holds a special place in the hearts of all Penguins supporters and remains a huge fan favorite every time he plays at PPG Paints Arena, even though he now does so as an opponent.

Fleury is expected to start Tuesday’s game between the Penguins and the Wild, and since he plans to retire after this season, this visit to Pittsburgh is likely to be his last as an active player.
Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the Penguins’ greatest legends, and it’s not just because he’s a talented goalie. He’s also known for being a great teammate and for doing wonderful things off the ice.
On Monday, ahead of the matchup with his former team, Fleury decided to make some teenagers’ day.

Fleury had finished his own practice with the Wild on Monday when he noticed some teen players from the Penguins’ EXCEL Hockey Academy practicing. Fleury didn’t hesitate to get some extra reps in, surprising the youth hockey players by joining them on the ice.
He stopped a few shots and chatted with the other goalie on the ice before eventually heading to the locker room. It’s moments like this that have made Fleury so massively popular—not only in Pittsburgh but across the entire hockey world.
