When the NHL on TNT premiered last season, it was a huge success from the first broadcast. The channel has assembled a fantastic crew, including Wayne Gretzky, Anson Carter, and Henrik Lundqvist.
But no signing has been better than Paul Bissonnette. As a player, he didn’t stand out that much. BizNasty, as he’s often called, did play in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Phoenix Coyotes, but he never played a full season, and during six seasons in the big league, he only skated 202 games.

Bissonnette is hilarious to watch, and his never-ending chirping with players makes his interviews with players the best.
Bissonnette is never afraid to speak his mind, no matter the subject, and if you give a lot of chirps, you have to be ready to receive some as well. And last night showed a perfect example of it.
BizNasty was in the panel during TNT’s broadcast of the Washington Capitals-New Jersey Devils matchup, together with fellow analysts Anson Carter and Henrik Lundqvist. During one of their segments, they played ’mystery player’ as they displayed some former NHLers’ career stats.
Paul Bissonnette was one of the players, but fans were dying of laughter because they compared his career stats with two Hall of Fame goalies. TNT showed the stats of Martin Brodeur, Henrik Lundqvist, and Paul Bissonnette next to each other, and the funniest part? Bissonette had the fewest points of them all.
To Bissonnette’s defense, he did score seven goals, more than both goalies combined, but he had 25 points less during his career than Brodeur and five less than Lundqvist. On social media, fans found it absolutely hilarious.
”They didn’t have to do Biz like that,” B/R Open Ice said.
”I laughed so hard at this. Paul Missthenet was a well earned nickname,” one fan replied.
”The fact that Biz turned those career stats into the media career he has now needs to be studied in business classes,” another added.
