Tyler Seguin won’t win the Stanley Cup this year, as his Dallas Stars were eliminated in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final. But if there were an award for who’s the nicest guy in the league, Seguin would be the front-runner to win it.
We all know he’s a great hockey player, but apparently, he might just be a better person, and this incredible gesture towards a young fan proves it, as Seguin really went the extra mile to help him out.
A young Dallas Stars fan was short on money for a ticket to see the Stars play in Game 6. He posted a video on Instagram asking for donations, and that’s when an unexpected message popped up from non other than Tyler Seguin, a veteran player of the Dallas Stars.
According to screenshots from the mom of the young fan, Seguin asked what his Venmo was, and then a donation was sent from Seguin’s fiancé.
”Have fun bud,” Seguin said to the fan.
The mom of the young fan shared Seguin’s gesture on a Facebook page, where she said how thankful she was.
”He is seriously the best dude on the team!” She wrote.
The young kid ended up going to Game 6, and he even made a sign thanking Seguin for the money. This is the wholesome content that we all love and what makes the NHL so great.
Although Tyler Seguin and the Dallas Stars were eliminated, he deserves all the praise for this incredible gesture of helping out a kid who loves hockey.
