Jaromir Jagr set for league comeback – will play this weekend

Jaromir Jagr is still without an NHL-contract for the upcoming season. However, the Czech-superstar will most likely make his comeback this weekend with his hometown team HC Kladno.

After playing 23 season in the NHL, Jaromir Jagr is without an NHL-contract just days before the start of the season. The 45 year old Czech superstar ended his stay with the Florida Panthers after two and a half seasons. Jagr’s priority is to continue playing in the NHL.

However, he will not wait any longer to make his comeback on the ice. It will happen this weekend.

“Anything can happen”

Czech news outlet Ceskatelevize report that Jagr will make his comeback with hometown team HC Kladno in the second tier of the Czech hockey league.
“At this point the Saturday is probably more likely, it’s one of the real possibilities, but it’s hard to say a percentage, because anything can happen before then”, Kladno spokeswoman Vít Heral said according to Ceskatelevize.

Speaking to the media last week, Jagr confirmed that he’s also discussing a move to the KHL for this upcoming season.
“There are three or four clubs we are dealing with. Until things get clear there, I will not look around in Europe”, Jagr said.
